Dr. Shaklee created the very first multivitamin in the U.S.

1956

Shaklee® Corporation was founded based on Living in Harmony with Nature™. Shaklee® was one of the first pioneers to offer a work from home option of sharing favorite products.

1960

Shaklee® was the first in the world to get chemicals out of household cleaning products, by introducing biodegradable, non-toxic, super-concentrated Basic H®.

1982

Shaklee® became a Fortune 500 Company.

1986

In TIME/LIFE Magazine’s “25 Greatest Adventures of All Time," 7 world records were powered by Shaklee® products, including the first American ascent up Mt. Everest without supplemental O2.

1987

Shaklee® was selected by Jacques Cousteau and the Cousteau Society to provide environmentally-friendly cleaning products on board his aquatic research vessels.

1988

Shaklee® created Performance® for the Daedalus Project, which powered Kanellopoulos across the Aegean (72 mi) in the first man-powered flight by cycling, the equivalent of 3 marathons!

1989

In Asia, Shaklee® helped build schools and clinics, and planted 1+ million trees through a partnership with the American Himalayan Foundation, chaired by Sir Edmund Hilary.

1989

Shaklee® provided nutritional and financial support to National Geographic award-winning, polar explorer Will Steger on the first crossing of Antarctica by foot, covering 3,700 miles.

1992

Non-profit, publically supported Shaklee Cares® is born to bring relief in suffering from natural disasters & emergencies through grass-roots groups working in impacted areas.

1993

NASA asked Shaklee® to solve their astronauts’ severe dehydration problem upon atmospheric re-entry. Shaklee® has been on EVERY NASA Mission since 1993, almost 30 years!

2000

Shaklee® was the first to obtain Climate Neutral™ Certification by offsetting 100% of its CO2 emissions, with a net-zero impact on the environment. Shaklee continues annual recertification. 

2003

Shaklee® supported the construction of the first large scale Native American owned and operated energy-efficient wind turbine on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in South Dakota.

Shaklee® converted school buses in California from petroleum-based diesel to vegetable-based biodiesel fuel, decreasing emissions and reducing pollutant exposure to children.

2006

Dr. Wangari Maathai, 2004 Nobel Laureate for the Environment, partnered with Shaklee®’s A Million Trees, A Million Dreams™  campaign.

2007

Shaklee® provided solar-powered energy to electrify Malawian villages, replacing inefficient & unhealthy kerosene lamps, increasing the potential for productivity & education hours.

Shaklee® participated in U.C. Berkeley’s Landmark Study. 20+ year Shaklee® users had significantly better health than people who took no supplements for 20 years.*

2014

Nobel Laureate Dr. Elizabeth Blackburn joined Shaklee® as a Shaklee® Scientific Advisory Board Member, conducting genetic research on Shaklee® users with outstanding results.

2019
